You can also take advantage of Group Purchase Rebates, which are specifically tailored for groups of homeowners who collaborate to promote upgrades within their community. These rebates extend to groups ranging from 2 to 30 homes, offering participants the opportunity to earn as much as $500 for each upgrade made. This initiative not only rewards individual homeowners but also fosters a collective commitment to sustainable and energy-efficient practices. By joining forces with fellow homeowners, you not only amplify the benefits of upgrading your home’s heating and cooling system but also contribute to a more environmentally conscious neighborhood.
To qualify for these grants, your heat pump installation must be conducted by a licensed professional and your chosen unit must be listed among the eligible products featured on the official Government of Canada home retrofit page. These grants not only contribute to the cost of your upgrades but also promote energy efficiency and sustainable practices for a greener home.

To be eligible for the rebates, it’s necessary for your heat pump to be installed by a contractor, like Norm’s Plumbing & Heating, that is registered with BC Hydro for heat pumps.
